Several type of cables have already been installed and tested in the chicane mock up in building 157 at CERN. Those tests will allow us to determine more precisely the packing factor to be considered for the installation in the cavern. It will also give us a more realistic view on the total cross section that is really needed, especially for the passage through the shielding wall. Once the cables are tested, the values in the existing cable lists will be modified.
These tests also gave us the possibility to measure and determine the minimum bending radius for the main electrical distribution cables (for TS-EL).
